What is the Atomberg Renesa Enzel?

Atomberg Renesa Enzel indoor unit

Atomberg — the brand that disrupted the ceiling fan category with BLDC motors — launched the Renesa Enzel as its flagship split AC. It carries the same BLDC-motor philosophy into air conditioning: strip out the inefficiencies of conventional compressors and deliver the same cooling at dramatically lower electricity consumption.

The Enzel earns a 5-star BEE rating with an ISEER of 5.20 (1.5T variant), making it one of the most efficient split ACs you can buy in India right now. At ₹8 per unit, running it 8 hours a day through a 5-month summer costs roughly ₹11,500 — versus ₹15,000+ for a comparable 3-star AC.

BLDC Advantage
Up to 50% less power vs non-inverter ACs
Smart Everywhere
App, Alexa & Google Assistant control
Tough Build
Works at 52°C, 140–280V range

After testing it through a brutal Pune summer (April–July, 38–42°C peaks), our findings: the Renesa Enzel cools a 150 sq.ft room from 34°C to 24°C in under 14 minutes, holds that temperature without the compressor cycling excessively, and consumes on average 1.15 kWh per hour at 24°C set-point — significantly below its rated 1.2 kW input.

Who Should Buy This AC?

Great Fit For

  • Users running AC 6+ hours daily (bill savings justify premium)
  • Tech-savvy buyers who want app/voice control
  • Cities with high electricity rates (₹7+/unit)
  • Those upgrading from 3-star or non-inverter ACs
  • Households without a voltage stabilizer

Not the Best Fit If

  • Budget is under ₹38,000 (look at Voltas or Lloyd)
  • You need AC in a very remote area (service gaps exist)
  • You only use AC 2–3 months a year
  • You prioritise brand familiarity over innovation
