JBVNL uses a progressive slab system. Your bill has 3 components:
Energy Charge (Slab System)
First 100 units at ₹3.25, 101–200 at ₹4.75, 201–400 at ₹6.15, above 400 at ₹7.50. Units are split across slabs progressively.
Fixed Charge
₹95/month for domestic consumers. Covers metering and infrastructure costs.
Electricity Duty
A state tax applied on (Energy Charge + Fixed Charge). Goes to the Jharkhand government.
