How to Dispute a MSEDCL Bill
Official 4-step escalation process — consumer rights
Contact Consumer Helpline
Call 1800-200-3435 or WhatsApp 9969201912. Describe your billing discrepancy. You will receive a complaint number — note it.
Visit Sub-Division Office
If not resolved in 7 working days, visit your nearest MSEDCL Sub-Division office with your last 3 bills and meter reading photos.
Submit Written Grievance
File a written grievance with the Sub-Divisional Officer or Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum (CGRF) if the sub-division response is unsatisfactory.
Escalate to Ombudsman
If CGRF decision is not satisfactory, appeal to the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) Ombudsman within 30 days of CGRF order.
