How Your DVVNL Bill Is Calculated
DVVNL uses a progressive slab system — the more units you consume, the costlier each additional unit becomes. Your bill has 3 components:
Energy Charge (Slab System)
First 100 units at ₹3.35, then 101–150 at ₹4.95, 151–300 at ₹5.50, and so on. Your units are split across slabs progressively — not all charged at the highest rate.
Fixed Charge
₹105/month for urban connections, ₹75/month for rural. This covers metering and infrastructure costs — charged regardless of usage.
Electricity Duty (5%)
A state tax of 5% applied on (Energy Charge + Fixed Charge). This goes to the UP government.
